Meet Erin

As a mother of two wonderful children, Carolyn and Bobby, she’s always prioritized education and the well-being of families. During the pandemic, she moved her father Joseph into her home, adding to her lively household with Kennedy, their dog, and two cats, Jackie O and Shelly O.

Erin during her time as an editor for the Boston Herald.

Erin’s journey has been anything but ordinary. Growing up in a small suburban town in Western Massachusetts, she learned early on the value of community and the strength it takes to stand out.

Her passion for making a difference led her to work as a photo editor for the Chicago Sun-Times and cover pivotal events like 9/11 for the Boston Herald. Her experiences at ground zero reshaped her perspective, leading her to enter an easier profession – politics.

She started as an intern and quickly moved up to a policy analyst for Senator Spilka, tackling issues that affect children, families, and persons with disabilities. She led significant reforms in child welfare laws, expanded mental health services, and strengthened adoption laws in Massachusetts. After leaving Senator Spilka’s office, she was appointed Executive Director of the Children’s League of Massachusetts. Through being Executive Director, and as a member of various task forces and advisory councils, she shaped policies that protect and empower the most vulnerable in society, and became a national expert on rehoming children and has written legislation to stop it.

As an elected member of the Milton Select Board, she championed affordable housing, compliance zoning, and the construction of essential community facilities. She has always believed in transparent governance, ensuring that every voice is heard and represented.

Now, as she finishes her education at New England School of Law, she is more committed than ever to fight for justice and equality. Her lived experiences, both personal and professional, equip her with a unique perspective and unwavering dedication to serve the Norfolk, Plymouth, and Bristol district.
